Potions
Drinkable potions share a 15 second global cooldown. Greater Heal recovers 40 hits and Total Mana recovers 40 mana. Total Refresh and Invisibility take effect immediately.
Poison Potions are not ingested when applied to weapons and do not trigger the cooldown of drinkable potions; they use the flow of the Poisoning skill.
Eyes of Newt and Total Mana
Alchemists outside guarded regions sell Eyes of Newt for 100gp; stock starts
at 20 units and follows the normal reagent restock. Total Mana Potion uses 5
Eyes of Newt and one Bottle and can be crafted with 65.0–105.0 Alchemy. The
menu displays the recipe as total mana; the potion's effect is unchanged and
it is not consumed when mana is already full.
Dragon Blood Clothing Dye
Moonglow and Serpent's Hold offer a cosmetic Dragon Blood dye service. Each dye uses 150 matching ingots, 10 Dragon Bloods, and a dynamic gold charge with a 50,000-gold floor; the dye has one charge.
Hides and Leather in 0.43.0
Each Hide weighs 1.0 stone and each Leather weighs 0.5 stone. With scissors, 100 Hides become 100 Leather; the conversion keeps the quantity and reduces the stack weight from 100 to 50. Old stacks normalize when loaded.
True-dragon carving
Carving Dragon, Drake, White Wyrm, Frost Dragon, Cold Drake, Frost Drake, Crimson Drake, Platinum Drake, Stygian Drake, or Stygian Dragon delivers 1 Dragon Blood as the base result and may deliver one extra unit through a Forensics roll. At effective skill up to 60.0 there is no bonus chance; above 60.0 the chance scales linearly to 90% at 100.0; above 100.0, the extra unit is guaranteed.
Bandages
Clean bandages must be in the using character's backpack, including when activated through client shortcuts.
Bandages remove poison immediately without healing health in the same use. Without poison, healing takes 3.5 seconds and reaches 30-40 hits with Healing and Anatomy at 100.0.
Treatment is captured when the bandage is used: poison present at the start is treated immediately; without poison at the start, life healing keeps its choice during the delay even if poison appears afterward.
When treatment succeeds, there is a 70% chance for the clean bandage to become a Bloody Bandage with the same weight; failures create no bloody bandage. If you are overloaded, the result drops to the ground. Adjacent, safely reachable natural water washes the whole stack. Clean and bloody bandages from the starter kit are ordinary, stackable, and transferable.
Fishing Pole
Fishing Pole is a basic Fishing tool. A standard pole starts with 50 uses, shows the remaining uses, and breaks at zero. Double-clicking a pole in the backpack can equip it and start its use; a failed skillcheck does not consume a use.
Provisioners sell basic Hatchet, Pickaxe, Shovel, and Fishing Pole tools. Their initial stock has 320 of each ordinary tool. Tinkers sell Hatchet, Pickaxe, and Shovel, while Carpenters sell Fishing Pole.
Provisioners also sell Enduring Hatchet, Pickaxe, Shovel, and Fishing Pole versions. They have 500 uses, use explicit menu names, and cost ten times the ordinary tool.
DoB Tools in 0.42.0
Tinkering organizes special tools under the DoB Tools submenu. Each family uses a public metal, has its own Tinkering requirement, and appears only for compatible tools.
| Family | Resource | Minimum Tinkering | Cost | Main effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | Bronze Ingots | 65.0 | 100 ingots | Lighter tool |
| Hardened | Shadow Ingots | 67.0 | 100 ingots | Doubles the tool's uses |
| Tempered | Silver Ingots | 60.0 | 100 ingots | Lighter tool with double the uses |
| Artisan | Gold Ingots | 70.0 | 50 ingots | +10% Exceptional chance on applicable crafts |
| Reliable | Bloodrock Ingots | 80.0 | 50 ingots | +10% success chance; for gathering, it affects only the final roll |
| Refined | Blackrock Ingots | 90.0 | 50 ingots | Combines +10% success and +10% Exceptional |
Chance bonuses come from the active tool, not from the item being produced. The Exceptional bonus does not apply to gathering; Reliable Pickaxes, Shovels, and Hatchets change only the final Mining or Lumberjacking success roll. Not every tool type appears in all six families.
Among DoB tools, Light uses 500 uses; Hardened and Tempered use 1,000. Artisan, Reliable, and Refined keep their normal 50-use durability.
Books and mounts
New characters receive a complete Spellbook, an empty Runebook and a shrunken horse. Spellbooks and Runebooks are preserved when the rest of the inventory is saved for an arena fight.
